two of everything

we now have 2 jumparoos.
when i got pregnant with these guys, i was so overwhelemed with the fact we would need 2 of everything. well honestly you dont really need 2 of everything.

we had 1 swing and 1 bouncer. and it worked. now they are bigger there are a few things we need 2 of each. this is why i sold our coffee table. we ZERO room. we also have a baby gate that is a huge octagon. i love it, i can put them in it and not worry about them getting into something they aren't suppose to. sure its huge but, i love it. someday when we have a bigger house it will be awesome as well!

it's a twin bond

these twinsies keep us laughing everyday. i am so excited to watch them grow up!
they laugh at each other now, fight over toys, and love one another.
i am little bit scared for when they are older and have fights about things. oh man!

"I'm so glad when daddy comes home...."

sometimes we wait for daddy to come home and enjoy the lovely weather. the twins love being outside. i try to go out more now that weather isn't unbearable. im not sure what we will do during the snow since by then they will most likely be crawling. ahhh!

8 months into motherhood

this whole journey into motherhood has been a whirlwind. how has it been 8 months since these two came into the world? it really doesn't seem like it has been that long.

the other day i was reading their birth story {see it here} and i was tearing up. that day was the best day besides our wedding day. yet, it was all a blur in a way. everything happened so fast. now, they are 8 months and im like "umm can we slow time?"

babies grow everyday, right? well so do parents. everyday i am learning something new. i am learning what works and what doesn't. we have had many stages already in these 8 months. from learning to sleeping longer, learning to hold their heads up, to eating solids, to rolling, and sitting up. we are now in this stage where they are both rolling. oh man i am in trouble. i am constantly grabbing babies from being stuck somewhere. maybe this new moving around will help me loose weight? haha. wishful thinking!

as a mom i am trying to be the best. yet, i know i am not perfect by any means. sometimes i let them whine or cry when they wake up from a nap to finish the last few minutes of my show or read a few more pages. don't judge. lol!

i love those two babies so much and i am so grateful to be their mama. there is no real purpose for this post, just feeling thankful that i get to be a mom to 2 babies!

xoxo

when daddy works late

some nights dan works late. which is great for our bank account but, really puts a stress on me. that usually means i do bed time alone. he is always home in time to put them down but, i am usually alone in feedings, bath, and bottles if he works late.

it really isnt so bad but, after being with them all day i am so drained and exhausted. baths dont happen every night but, when they do and i have to do them alone its hard work.

for memory purposes here is how bed time usually goes.....baths, night time lotion, jammies, soilds, bottles, night time diapers, put on henrys boots and bar which is a process now he rolls over, any medicine, or creams needed, family loves and kisses {pretty soon we will add prayers to this}, put in sleep sacks, bed, and binkies. then done.

we then pick up toys, clean the last 2 bottles, clean up their dinner, and pick up the front rooms. then we relax and breathe! haha. bed time is chore but i do love the smell of their baby magic and how cute they are in jammies!

baby cousins

growing up and even now some of my best friends are my cousins. annie, hailey and megan. we are all close in age. a year a six months to six months. i have so many amazing memories with them and now we are all married and have our own families.

when my sister in law stephanie announced she was preggers, i was so excited. then about a week later we found out we were preggers too. i was over the moon that our baby would have a cousin so close in age.  then we found out there was two babies. well these 3 babies are about 3 weeks apart. the twins are older since they were early!

these 3 are so cute. i love watching them actually start to play with each other now. it makes me so excited that my babies will have someone to play with forever. ryley is younger but bigger haha!

on labor day we went over to dans parents for pizza and a play date with ryley and her big sisters brooklyn (10) and bailey (almost 8).  i brought my camera to take some new photos of the babies and to photograph ryley too! it was so fun! these babies are amazing!

i am so excited to watch them grow up!
