But since all of those places cost lots and lots of money. I am headed to Ogden, Utah. Well hopefully in a few weeks to visit family. : )

Be of Good Cheer, The Lord Loves You.

“None of us makes it through this life without problems and challenges—and sometimes tragedies and misfortunes. After all, in large part we are here to learn and grow from such events in our lives. We know that there are times when we will suffer, when we will grieve, and when we will be saddened. However, we are told, ‘Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.’

How might we have joy in our lives, despite all that we may face? Again from the scriptures: ‘Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you.’ ”

-Thomas S. Monson, “Be of Good Cheer,” Ensign, May 2009, 89

“The voice of the Lord is clear and unmistakable. He knows you. He loves you. He wants you to be eternally happy. But according to your God-given agency, the choice is yours. Each one of you has to decide for yourself if you are going to ignore the past and suffer the painful mistakes and tragic pitfalls that have befallen previous generations, experiencing for yourself the devastating consequences of bad choices. How much better your life will be if you will follow the noble example of the faithful followers of Christ such as the sons of Helaman, Moroni, Joseph Smith, and the stalwart pioneers—and choose, as they did, to remain faithful to your Heavenly Father’s commandments.”
-M. Russell Ballard, “Learning the Lessons of the Past,” Ensign, May 2009, 33

Just some things I needed to remember, thought I'd share with you all. : )

YSA Conference.

This weekend was the YSA Conference, it was State wide. I had the opportunity to attend and it was one of the best experiences. At first I wasn't sure if i wanted to go, even the night before. But I am truly glad i went. So many great speakers, and lessons taught. Steve Young was there Saturday morning. He is a great speaker, and was good to hear his thoughts on certain topics. Keeping the Sabbath holy, Dating,Growing closer to the gospel, and Life's decisions. Saturday there was certain classes we got to attend, and i loved each one of them. All things i needed to hear. Sunday was amazing. I love being able to witness, the Sacrament being passed to all thousand plus of us. It was a wonderful thing. We were able to watch a LIVE broadcast from Elder L. Tom Perry and His wife Barbara Perry. Such a wonderful experience. It was a great weekend, and much needed to hear. Right i am going some hard things and its such blessing to know i have the church to keep grounded. Not just church but everything that goes with it. All the blessings i have received. Someone very very close to me taught me a great lesson, i was kind of in a BAD downer mood. Thinking everything in my life was a waste and just one of those moods you know. He asked me "what are the good things in your life." Got me thinking we need to not DWELL on the bad, but focus on the good. I am truly grateful for all he has done for me. Thank You (you know who you are!). I know I've said it before how grateful I am for the priesthood holders in my life. The blessings are endless, I know that I am grateful for the Gospel and all I have. It's hard sometimes to remember how much we have. I know that my Family and friends are here for me, love and care about me.

Enjoy the pictures...they are outta order but oh well.

Sunday Thinking.

Since today was Fast and Testimony meeting. I had the chance to really ponder some things today. Alot of the testimonies that were shared today were on the Savior and his love for each one of us. Which is something i have been thinking about constantly the last couple of days. I am truly grateful for my Savior and everything he has done for me. He is always there for me whenever i need him. I always love fast Sundays in the Rockville Branch, because even though we are small in numbers the spirit is so strong there. The testimonies today were just what i needed to hear. They strengthened my testimony so much. It just made me realize how much i love the Gospel. I can honestly say i have no idea where i would be without it. It gives me such comfort in my life. It such a good feeling to know I'm never alone. We all have times where may feel we are, but we aren't. I love my Savior and his love for me. It's such a blessing in my life to know I will never be alone. Through prayer and scripture study i can grow closer to him, and learn more of his love for me. Today was such a great testimony meeting, so many thing i needed to hear. I appreciate everyone who got up today, and shared their love for the Gospel. : )
I love Sundays, and i love the Gospel. <3
