our weekend.

what a treat it was it have daniel home for 3 whole days. we loved every second of it. there was lots of: relaxing, sleeping, cuddling, eating, and time with family. BLISS! saturday after my morning of laundry and cleaning {ugghh}, we headed to murray to pick my ring up {it was getting fixed..long story} then we went to one of our fav pizza places the pie. seriously this place is amazing, i am in love. 

like for reals, if you've never had the pie and live in utah go try it. like, now.


so too bad, i totally saw the bff jennifer monday and we took no pictures. {face palm} 


....excuse me while i go start grey's anatomy series. i know like a million years behind. bahaha! 

swimsuit season?!

can you freakin' believe it's almost swim suit season. {face palm} i need to get my booty in gear. like, yesterday! ha...isn't this so freaking cuuutteee?, and dont you love this purple one? i have a swimsuit from target similar to these but mine is a tankini. i got it for the honeymoon and LOVE IT. 




so, now for getting in shape again. i need to start working out regularly. i think if i can drop 15 pounds, ill feel so much better about myself. like, for reals. two summer's ago, i dopped about 10 and felt so awesome, and then i gained a little back. i can proudly say, i havent gained any weight since being married. {go, me!} ive actually dropped 5lbs. 




ok bloggers, i am telling you all now i will loose 15 lbs and keep it off. wish me luck. now, for figuring out how i am going to tackle these 15 lbs. haha. any suggestions, let me know. kthanksss :)

{i bet my poor point and shoot feels lonley i havent been using it very often. i just use my phone because i have a cool app that has sweet effects.}

niece sitting.

one thing i love about being so close to my nieces now, is i get to "tend" them {as they say here in utah} every so often. i love it. these girls are so funny, and i love them to pieces. :)

it was fun day scooding {as bailey says, really its scooting} and writing with chalk. til the storm rolled in. then we watched some Victorious {dont hate, i love that show. seriously watch it you'll laugh!} and some iCarly {always a fav}. 

psstt...today is brooklyn's 7th birthday. later today we're having a surprise party for her and steph {her mom} and i made the cutest cupcakes and cake for her! :)

our weekend.

our weekend was pretty chill around here. friday night we saw the new pirates in 3D. it was funny and we both enjoyed it. but lucky me i got a migraine because of it. {sad day} so saturday was spent on the couch watching movies with daniel, while he waited on me hand and foot. i finally got feeling better so we went for a drive. ended up at a pond by lagoon in farmington. 

came home and went to bed pretty early. {so lame huh?!}

sunday, we spoke at church in our sacrament meeting. i spoke for like 5 min and left dan like 10 min to speak. we spoke with another new couple who took up alot of time before us, so we lucked out. sunday was also our first day in nursery. boy those kiddos are crazy, but oh so cute. i think we will like being in there! heck, if nothing its AMAZING birth control! hahaha! 

then we went down to spanish fork, to see matt, val and berkley. we pulled up and who did we find. uncle eric and aunt dianne. {no annie tho saddd} it was so fun to visit with some family. before summer hits and everyone gets busy. then we headed to payson to have dinner at sister matthews house. we got to see the newlyweds phil and bridget. we sure missed them. 

it was a good weekend. spite the headache which i am still suffering from now. but, not i feel totally sick. like i feel like i wanna barf. {but i havent barfed in years...} ugh!

playing uno with your husband and watching lord of the rings {nerd alert} is the perfect activity when you have a FAT headache. of course, i would get sick on the first sunny day in a week. {face palm}


lucky me daniel is the best, and is so good at taking care of me. im pretty sure ive asked him to do like a million things for me. "can you get a cool rag?", "can you get me a drink?", "can you turn it down?", "can you get me something to eat", "can you do this and that!" haha thats probably what he has heard all day, and he hasnt complained yet. ha. i love you babes. xox.

tv shows.

i love me a good tv show. i just finished the prison break series on netflix. holy freaking moly, i loved it. seriously such an amazing show. love the story, the action, the characters and actors. loved loved loved it. so now i am in need of something new to watch. i have heard so many good things about grey's anatomy...so bloggers i need your help. if you watch it, let me know your thoughts mmkay? or if you have another show, you love let me know. another show in the running is bones.

baking.

just saying that word makes me mad. tonight i wanted to make some sugar cookies for the family party we are going to tomorrow in layton. well, they turned out like crap. now, i have a messy kitchen, a bowl full of sugar dough/batter and a bad mood. {go ahead laugh at me, but maybe this whole thing started because im totally PMSing} i am never baking again. end of story. well, maybe not ever. but, you get the point. ugh!

but lucky me, i have an amazing hubby who took me out to froyo after he got off work! <3

all married and stuff.

today, we've been married two whole months. i know right, seems like yesterday! these have been the best two months ever. we love seeing each other every day. seriously, greatest ever. {the whole long distance engagement sucked}. here are a few things we have learned about each other since we've started this new chapter of our lives. 




what daniel has learned about eryka: {these are really his answers, my comments are in italics}


~she doesn't like to put her clothes away. {for reals, it sucks}


~she can make good food. {atleast i try}


~the shower curtain has to be closed all the way, and the toilet seat has to be down after im done. {am i alone in thinking these things are a must?!} 


~eryka doesn't always close the toothpaste cap. {haha}


~she is kind and caring {even though i knew that already} {glad, he knew already!}


~she's a good wife, the best i've ever had. {hahaha, good thing im the best he's ever had. and the only one he's ever had}

what eryka has learned about daniel: {dan's comments in italics, as you can see there are none. he said "no comment" for all of them. hahahaha, love that boy!}

~he takes really really long showers. 


~daniel is the best at making sure there is never a dull moment. 


~he is a total cover hog.


~he's a hard worker and a wonderful husband.

~he doesn't always close the shower curtain and it drives me nuts.

saturday we woke up bright and early and headed to salt lake for the race for the cure. we all did it to celebrate dan's aunt tracey surviving breast cancer. {she is such an amazing lady, i am so lucky to have her as my aunt-in-law}. it was such a gorgeous day out, and such a great spirit there! annie, came along for the fun, and of course she and i had a blast! ha. next year we are running the whole thing. {its only a 5k}. anyways,  it was a wonderful day and i cant wait for next year. we love you aunt tracey! <3

it's mothers day which means it's time to recognize all the amazing mother figures I have in my life. since last year's mothers day post, i now have one more to add to my list. 




{dear momma,}
thank you for being the best mom i could've asked for. thank you for all the love and support you gave me over these last 22 years. now, that im an old married lady i really appreciate the example you were to me on being a wife, and when the time comes i know i will be a good mom, since i have to look up to. you are the funniest lady, i know. i think i took for granted all the times we would go on our sushi and pedicure dates. {i miss those. maybe you should come to utah and treat me, wink wink} i love you so much, and miss you to pieces.

you are the best stepmom ever. thank you for always being there to talk. you are a great listener. i love you and the great example you are to me on how to be a good wife and mother. {someday that lat part will come} ha. thank you so much, i love you lots. 


{dear susan,}
you are the newest mother to me, what can i say you are the best mother in law i could've hoped for. you welcomed me into the family for day 1. i remember meeting you for the first time dan said: "this is bruce, and this is susan" and you responded with "or we are mom and dad". i love you so much, and am grateful for you and your example to me. you raised one amazing son and i am so lucky i met him and now can be with him for time and all eternity. thank you for raising him right. i love you my amazing mother in law.

deep thoughts, a dream and star wars.

so i havent written a "deep" post in awhile, and i thought i would write somethings i've been thinking about out. {for me personally}.


lately ive been thinking about "being happy". you can have alot of things in your life that can make you happy but as long as you arent happy with yourself the other things really dont do much in making you happy. at least thats how i feel. 


last night i had this dream, i was back in high school. {yuck i know}. well in this dream i was reminded of what it is like to be in high school. kids, are mean. yes straight up mean. in this dream i was bullied. {it was horrible} i was never really bullied in real life school, but saw it many times. this dream got me thinking of what i struggled with the most: i think the biggest struggle i faced in high school was being ok with my personal looks. i always felt like i was the "ugly duckling". this is something i probably will always struggle with. worrying about not being skinny enough, or my nose is too big, or my love food {dang you food for always tasting so good!} you know, stupid body issues. maybe someday i will be 100% happy with my body. {sigh} 


why is it that girls always struggle with body issues. i know several girls personal friends, and blog friends who struggle with this same issue. i know people might be reading this and thinking "is this girl crazy? why would she feel like that" or you might be thinking "i hear ya girl". which ever the case. i know this was a pretty deep post, but i think of this a my personal journal so there. 


....on a happier note today is quote un quote star wars day. "may the fourth be with you". in honor of that the hubby and i are gonna start the star wars movies tonight. growing up my whole family has loved star wars we all have literally grown up on it. call us a nerd family if you must, we already now we are. so hope you all enjoy your star wars day!

tulip festival.

utah is known for crazy weather, and this weekend almost didnt happen due to snow. well, the skies cleared up and off to the tulip festival we went. {dan didnt come, i mean what guy would wanna go look at flowers haha!} i had fun day with aunt dianne, cousin annie, and new cousin megan. ha! {but, i did miss my hubby all day!}
