saturday sayings//hunger games

ok, i finished reading the hunger games series for the second time on tuesday night. i literally cried as i read the last sentence. guys, i love these books so much it's not even funny. i thought i couldn't love a book as much as i love these. i probably wouldn't mind re-reading it again right now. haha.

since they released the trailer for the movie {coming out march 23rd!}, it seems like everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. by all means people jump on it. but, i HIGHLY recommend reading the books before so. by, recommend i mean read it LIKE NOW! seriously, read it. daniel started reading the first book this week. i literally squealed with joy when he told me he started it. 

not only do these books have an awesome story line, but the way its written is amazing. as i read it, i really felt like i could relate to the characters in some way or another. i felt like i really knew them. they felt real. yes, i know they are not real people. but thanks to the movie coming out. i know have faces to place with the characters, and let me tell you they did ONE awesome job casting them. 

alright so, basically this post is all about my love for the hunger games series. i could go on and on and on about it. but, i think i'll spare you all my deep thoughts. but, im warning you i might write a post in the future about my feelings and thoughts. lauren, started a new feature "countdown to the hunger games". you should check it out, it's so fun to read peoples thoughts on the books. if you are die hard fan like me you will love it! also, mandy over at miss indie posted a hunger games post the other day. loved it. read it here.

today i am feeling extremely grateful for the love of my life. i love that he is my best friend, and i love being with him every single day. don't you love, love?!

saturday sayings.

this week was an up and down roller coaster of emotions. i have talked about my birth control troubles before you know, how it makes me happy one second and in tears the next. i am currently trying to get it all under control meanwhile, in the last two weeks i had two breakdowns. yep, two. looking back i can't even tell you why. i know, sad. huh? {oy vey} well i could....


i let things get to me, and i can't let them go. it's been something i have struggled with forever. i try my hardest to let things go, and get over it. i just can't sometimes. trust me, it's not fun. i let people or even myself get under my skin, and it pretty much can ruin my day. pretty sad huh? but, trust me i am working on it.

now i got that off my chest...something else i have been pondering is, blogging. i realized i have slacked in the posting my own pictures area. i forget to take my camera out all the time and snap away. or like my current issue i have pictures to upload but, i can't find the usb card reader thing. it is lost somewhere in the mess of our second bedroom. 


i promise to you readers, next year i will be better at taking more pictures and sharing them on here. i promise!!! 


anyways, it's saturday i am currently spending time with dan. i love the weekends. i love the cuddles in the morning, just laying in bed talking with him forever. it's pretty much my fave.

saturday sayings.

if you follow me on twitter or facebook, you know all that has been going on. thursday we had A BAD wind storm like winds up to 102mph. yeah no joke. about 50,000 people were without power and lots of HUGE trees that fell. we one of those many. we had no power from thursday around 9am to friday sometime between 5pm-9pm. let's just say it was cold and i wouldve made a terrible pioneer. thank goodness for dan's parents. they had power friday, so i went over there to shower and keep warm. last night we decided we need to get outta bountiful and all the craziness. we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at cheesecake factory then did some walking around the mall in murray. {yes murray where david archie is from!}. as we headed out to the car to go home to see if we had power. what did we find? oh a flat tire, and we dont have a spare it either was stolen or fell off awhile ago. so there we are stuck in murray. 


thank goodness my dad and stepmom didn't live too far from there. my dad came and rescued us and drove us home. we stopped by our house and we had POWER. we literally shouted for joy! 


so the moral of this post: we are feeling very grateful for our family members who live close. we love our family so much and really are grateful for all they did for us these last few days. we are just thanking our lucky stars and counting our many many many blessings that it was just a flat tire. keeping the family theme, this weekend we are sleeping over at my dads tonight and tomorrow we are all going to a baby blessing. my stepmom's brother james and his wife had a sweet baby girl sophia and she is getting blessed tomorrow.

saturday sayings//yo gabba gabba live

don't you hate days when you feel sorry for yourself. when you feel super depressed and like everything is sucky?! well, i have had one or two of those days in the last week or so. so, instead of whining on here or complaining about how i feel depressed and blah blah. after i did other things that help me cheer up, i searched quotes and sayings on pinterest. i'd thought i'd share some that are inspiring to me and help me CHEER up.

the last one totally hit home. it's true. prayer can change everything. i have seen first hand the power of prayer in my life. sometimes we can forget this. if you ever feel like life is too much to handle, pray. im trying to preach my religion on you guys. just, telling you how much prayer means to me. i am so grateful prayer and the impact it has in my life.

wednesday night we went to yo gabba gabba live with my sister in law and our nieces. it was so much fun, the girls loved it! 

{not bad for 15 dollar tickets! totally worth it!}

what im thinking//saturday sayings

...love.


it's probably the fact my cousin annie just recently had her missionary return home from his mission, that has me thinking about the power of love. but, i have so many thoughts about it i have to write them down. 

the whole day of their reunion, i was so happy and excited for them. i know how in love they are and i was just so excited for them to be together again. the whole day i kept thinking about love, and how lucky we are to have such a thing in our lives. 

wether it be love to a spouse, boyfriend, parent, sibling, child, pet, family member, or your heavenly father. love is a wonderful thing. i am so grateful the power of that four letter word. 

when i think of the word LOVE i get goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes. i love, love. i love the feeling of having someone who loves you, with all their heart. someone who will always be their for you no matter what. i feel very blessed to have an amazing group of people surrounding me who i know love me. 

isn't it wonderful to know, you have someone you loves you. no matter what stage you are in your life?! trust me, its true. even if you think you don't have someone you do. it's your heavenly father. he loves you for who you are. pretty powerful huh?! i love my heavenly father with all my heart, and i know he loves me even though i am not perfect. let's face it nobody is. right? 


the next powerful love i think is, the love between husband and wife. when i think about the love dan and i have, i literally start to cry with tears of happiness. i feel so lucky to have found someone so loving, and caring as he is who loves me for me. i am so grateful for him and our eternal love. i get a sense of peace to know i will be with dan literally forever. how awesome, to have the love of your life with you for an eternity. 

ok, ok i know what a sappy post about love. but, like i said i have been thinking about it a lot and felt like i needed to share these thoughts with you. why, i dont know. i was inspired i guess.

ive said before i wouldnt blog on the weekends but, its quite the lazy day here in the clark home. dan is sick, and taking it easy. needless to say im bored, but enjoying this relaxing day...so hence the blog on a saturday.
