Yesterday in Sacrament meeting, the speakers spoke on "Living within your means". I felt was a great topic, and very applicable to my life and everyone who was in the room. At our age (us in our 20's) we need to do all we can to save for out futures. Not only money but, food storage. That got me thinking, even though im still at home i need to start thinking about my future. My future is something that is on my mind 24/7. I was really glad i was there to hear those talks.
They also talked about tough times. How everything will get better eventually. I truly believe
"Things will get worse before they get better." We all go through hard times, i know i do. I am right now. We all are. I feel that we need to strive harder during those times to live our lives right. For me, when i am having a crappy day, the things that cheer me up can be simple. A smile from someone, reading my scriptures, listening to one of my favorite songs or singing a hymn in my head, calling a friend. I am so grateful for my Family and all they do to support me in my life. I am so lucky to have great friends who have the same standards as me, and they are always there for me.
In Relief Society, our lesson was on Temple Ordinances. Another great topic. I needed to HEAR! It was taught by a girl who has NEVER taught before, and let me tell you the spirit was with her. She did an excellent job. We as a RS Presidency were very thankful for her willingness to teach. Her lesson got me thinking of how i am going to prepare myself to be worthy to enter the House of The Lord. There are so many things i can do now at 20 yrs old, to prepare. Baptisms is one great way, i love the feeling i get when enter the baptismal font. A sense of peace. It's such a powerful ordinance, being able to be baptized for those who weren't able to be in their earthly lives.
I am truly grateful for Temples, and the opportunity I have to go into the Temple to do Baptisms for the Dead. I cant wait for the day i can enter the Temple with my future husband to be (whoever it may be, and whenever it may happen!). I love the Temples and the peace they can bring into my life. Just walking onto the grounds, everything of the world seems to go away. Whatever trial im facing doesn't matter. Whatever mood i was in, changes. It's amazing how one place can make you feel all those things. We shouldn't take for granted how lucky we are to live in a time where we have hundreds of Temples all over the world, for us to appreciate
