+ we started LOST on netflix and are quickly working our way through the first season
+ my sister in law got a new dog so now we have a new nephew dog buddy
+ washed the car after our adventure saturday. we went up to bountiful peak to find a camp site for camping in a few weeks. found the perfect one!
+ a little spiritual uplifting

baby, you're a firework

centerville fireworks tuesday with friends//baby you're a firework//glowsticks//west bountiful parade with this cute sister in law of mine. dan was theres too but we took NO pics//gorgeous sky from provo//festive//fireworks..of course//bridget and i//more fireworks from stadium of fire

you like how there are NO pictures of dan and i? kicking myself in the butt!! anyways, our fourth was full of friends and family...and food. oh and i got a sweet farmers tan now. ughh!  on the way home last night from provo we saw the alpine fire pretty scary and this morning i woke up to rain. such a blessing and huge testimony builder. he does answer your prayers. feeling very blessed these days! hope you all had a happy day! xoxo

families are forever

one of my best friends/cousin got married to the love of her life this pass weekend. it was one special weekend. i spent a lot of time reflecting on how grateful i am for my family and the fact we can be together forever. thinking about it just makes my heart happy. yes, my family is loud and crazy but, i love them oh so much! i loved watching michael and annie start their eternal family. it reminded me of the day daniel and i were sealed by my grandpa for time and all eternity. the same grandpa that sealed michael and annie this weekend. such a special memory. 

on thursday we went to the temple {click temple to learn more about them} with my family to support annie. she was going through for the first time. as i was sitting in there i looked down on my lap and in my lap was the pouch my grandma used to use for all her temple stuff, which i now use. on it is a stitched picture of the san diego temple and the words "families are forever". i had not noticed the words until that moment. in some way i feel that i was meant to notice them at the very moment. the moment when my testimony of families was the strongest. 

i guess you can say this weekend was a special weekend full of spiritual uplifting, happy tears, family, and lots of love. i love that families can be together forever through the blessings of the temple and the gospel. it makes my heart happy. what makes you happy? yep, its a new month which means its happy list time! {did you like that? how i flowed right into the happy list?! haha}
