busy, busy, busy week.

its been crazy hetic here.

i turned 22.

dan surprised me on fri and was here til today. :(

leaving tomorrow for my dads house. then on wens we are driving 11hrs to southern utah to spend thanksgiving with my stepmom's family. so, when i come back from the FREEZING cold. (let's hope i come back un-frozen). i will blog about all that. lol.

you are beyond excited your birthday is this week. *cough, cough Wednesday*

you go bed at 9pm then wake up at 230am and can't go back to bed. so, therefore you blog. what else would you do. haha

you day dream about married life. 

you can't wait to get your hair done, because your roots are outta control.

you miss your cousins, like way bad. 

you fret about dumb things. 

you can't believe how fast the year went by.

you cannot wait for March to be here already.

you wish your wedding dress was done being made, and you could have it in your possession.

you realized how lucky you are to have all you do, and realize you need to stop worrying about irrelevant things. 

you can't wait to hear your fiance's laugh again. (33 days)

you need to hear "You are beautiful" to really feel it. (isn't that video amazing?! haha) 

you have a wonderful guy in your life who tells you are beautiful everyday and it makes you smile. (see this post.)

Dear Daniel, 

Thank you for telling me I'm beautiful and gorgeous, especially when I don't feel it, and even when I am saying "don't say I'm beautiful, I am not today". Sometimes a girl has to hear "You're beautiful", I guess. I know you think I am crazy when I worry if I can be a good wife for you, and someday a good mother to our children. Thank you for telling not to worry because you know I will be both those things someday, it really does put me at ease. I know I am not perfect, trust me I am not and I am so glad you still love me, and my crazy worries. haha. I love you and cannot wait to start Eternity with you. 118 days 'til BLISS!

Yes, I know I have posted about these ladies before and how much I miss them, but I am going to again so deal with it. LOL I have just realized that these ladies and I will probably never all live in the same state ever again. (not like we have the last 2 years...anyways) so weird. We are always between California and Utah. Hay Hay got married and was in Utah with her hubby and now they are here in Ca. Annie is now a Utah girl studying, and working hard and being a good wait for my missionary girl, Meg is at BYU being all smart and beating the boys off with sticks and I am moving to Utah in March, you know since Im getting all Married and stuff. How did we get all grow'd up?! Can we like rewind please to back in the day. haha jk!

I miss all our crazy shenanigans (like, trying to break into the creepy "haunted" house by gma/gpa's and climbing fences and witnessing a white car conspiracy, and lets not forget curly fries and B.B.B) just to name a few, late night chats, sleepovers, endless laughter and and the endless cousin love.

There is a reason these girls are my bridesmaids, they are my bestest friends, and I am lucky enough to call them legit family. I love them so much, and miss them so much it's ridic. Next time we all will be together will be my wedding. You best believe we are having a cousin sleepover. It's a must...duh!

Today is the perfect day to cuddle up to Dan with the Fall weather and me not feeling so well (I'm all stuffed up, and my eyes kill. ugh). Well, too bad he is 699 miles away. waaaahhh. I love days like today, cold, breezy, and all the pretty colors. Don't you?!

happily ever after.

I was reading this amazing talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (an apostle of our church). I love this talk oh so much, I love how he mentions some of my favorite fairy tale's. Let's face it, us girls love our fairy tale's and we all dream of having our own fairytale life and romance. In this talk he reminds us we can and we will.  

"[Happily ever after] is not something found only in fairy tales. You can have it! It is available for you! But you must follow your Heavenly Father’s map."

Yet, another thing I love about this Church. I love that we can and will have our very own happily ever after, by simply following the plan we have been given. It brings tears of joy to my face, knowing I can start my happily ever after with my very own "prince charming". This is beautiful talk and I suggest you read it all. Oh and by the way yesterday (November 6th) was President Uchtdorf's Birtday. So, Happy Birthday President Uchtdorf. Thank you for being a Christ-like example and delivering wonderful messages to us all. Love ya much!

....I literally squealed like I was 10 again and danced around the living room! Don't hate, you know you LOVE them too. Click here to see them singing at a airport, which was part of the Oprah show. Holy cow, Im still all giddy!!! Even though AJ looked a little tubby, I still drooled over his cuteness (minus the tats) and ohhh Brian sooo adorable. ahhh.

 So I have changed the wedding shoe criteria. I am totally loving silver shoes right now, and totally loving these pretty things right here. but, I also LOVE these cute shoes. oooh, or these even though they are way too expensive, but way cute. oh my gosh and these are pretty too. oh em gee, I LOVE THESE so much. I WANT I WANT! all these would be oh so cute with my gorgeous dress. (eekkkk...I cannot wait to wear it) what do you think?! :)

Sorry to all the other pretty pretty shoes that didnt win, you will just be added to my shoe wish list. These cute rocketdogs (did you know that rocketdogs are the most comfortable shoes ever. yeah ever.). Plus my awesome soon-to-be sister-in-law steph got me a sweet discount. She is pretty much the coolest. well, actually all my soon-to-be sister-in-laws are amazing!!! Love ya Steph, Heather and Kelly! haha.

oh yeah, duh.

So, the last post was all about me being in mood. I was very overwhelmed with a lot of feelings, and didnt know how to shake the bad mood and feelings. Thanks to my amazing future husband (wink wink this boy here.), I snapped out of it. While talking to Dan I realized something, something I already knew but I guess needed to be reminded of.... 

...Our Heavenly Father gives us hard times for a reason. (Right?!) These "hard times" are never more than we can handle. (I know. cool, huh?!) I sometimes forget that. (Don't you?) It's hard when you are in the middle of something that you may think is "too much to handle, and you cant do it anymore". (don't worry I've been there) Well, really it's not and you can do it. We all know this. Don't we? Well, I had a total duh moment, while chatting with Dan. Oh boy, don't you love that. LOL. 

I literally said in my head "Duh, Eryka. You can handle this. Just breathe." haha. Yeah so I talk to myself. Don't try to tell me you don't!!

I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and for the tests he gives me in my life. Tests I hope to learn and grown from. I know everything will be okay, and I can can handle anything he throws at me, with some work of course. I honestly am so blessed to have found someone to love me for me , and allow me to love them back. Someone who teaches me something everyday about myself, him and this Gospel. I cannot wait to be sealed to Dan for time and all eternity. I am so glad we can use this amazing gift of the Gospel as a tool in our marriage. (isn't it amazing?! it really is!) 129 days 'til we start our journey as Husband and Wife! :)
