clark twins go to the pumpkin patch

last weekend we went to the cutest pumpkin patch and got the twins their first pumpkins. it was a beautiful morning and they loved feeling and tasting them! 

my fall maternity must-haves

dressing my new body is something that i dreamed about for so long, then it happened. it was like hello basketball in my shirt, somedays i love it and somedays it really takes its toll of my emotions. luckily fall is all about comfy sweaters! i've had a few friends ask what maternity items i have and love. so, i gathered some and put together a list of other fall items i am loving. 

a good pair of skinny jeans//

i found mine at kid to kid in the maternity section but, they are pea in the pod brand. maybe try these or these. i love the full panel jeans but have a pair of semi panel and love them too. its all personal preference 

under the belly leggings//

mine are from old navy and im so in love it's not even funny. get them here. i love the under the belly for some reason in these leggings. they are amazing!

full panel jeans//

h&m was the first places i looked at jeans and i picked up these. they are so comfy and adorable with flats. 

side ruched shirts//

in the same trip where i got the h&m jeans i grabbed a few of these shirts. i love the motherhood maternity shirts as well. next on my list is pick up some long sleeve shirts. 

oversized sweaters//

the only sweater i have purchased since being pregnant is this from old navy. the rest are old ones from last fall. if it's and open sweater you should have no problem. currently wishing for this one. 

cardigans//

since buttoning it up isn't happening these days, cardigans that look good open are a must. im sure we all have a few cardis that we love right? my faves are from target or nordstroms. they don't have them anymore but, they are amazing! 

riding boots//

a fall must. swooning over these steve maddens. 

flats//

currently wishing these were in my closet. 

booties//

guys, i am dying over these boots. i really really hope to get them. please hubby! 

scarves//

is that even a question. you need scarves here in utah. when it's chilly your neck gets freezing. nothing i hate worse than a cold neck! how cute is this chunky scarf?

there you have my favorite maternity fall items so far. i may even start posting a maternity oufit on here every now and then. now, that its cooler and i actually like getting dressed. haha. i do post some outfits on my instagram. follow along via @erykaann.

spooked the halls

it's no secret that i LOVE fall. i love everything about it. so, of course i would fill our house with decor. most of the stuff we have, i have crafted or bought on clearance. i love it all. halloween is a holiday i am coming to love and love adding some halloween pieces to my fall decor. have you spooked your halls yet?

it's about that time when i crave fall

every year around this time i start to dream about the cool weather, color changing leaves, the sweaters, boots, and everything else i love about fall. it seems i am not alone, my pinterest feed has been flooded with pins of cute fall outfits, fall recipes, and cute decor.my friends have been bit by the fall bug too and i love it. keep those cute pins coming. 

i even busted the fall decor out the other day. i couldn't help it. the weather was overcast and cool"er". it was calling me. you know what? i don't even care what people think when they drive by and see our fall wreath because, i love it! 

in my book fall is the best time of the year. i am pretty excited to be pregnant during the season too. can't wait to dress this fast growing bump in sweaters and scarves. so, technically the first day of fall isn't for awhile. which is lame but, it's still around the corner and i cannot wait. bring it on mother nature!

oh, you know. just things i dont understand

i better warn you i am pmsing and very cranky. hence this post of things i don't understand....

+ i love me some christmas but, why are some people so quick to forget about thanksgiving? our neighbors have their christmas decorations up. i don't get it. i know i am holding onto fall for as long as i can! 

+ why must we girls suffer from cramps every.single.month? i am making a doctors appt asap. it is not normal for me to be in this much pain every month. i give up. 

+ kirsten stewart. enough said. 

+ time change. why do we need it? it pretty much can kiss my butt. 

+ why brownies cant be healthy. wouldn't things be alot easier if they didn't have so many calories?

okay, i am done ranting....on a happier note yesterday morning i took a little walk around our neighborhood and snapped these photos of the beauty that is fall. how amazing is that tree?! gosh, i love our little neighborhood.

weekend snapshots

here are some snapshots from our fall weekend: pumpkins, little brothers football game {which they won!}, park city with the henderson's, alpine slide, dan's first time on a ski lift, yummy pizza, sleeping in, art exhibits and boot wearing. 

it was a pretty fun weekend but, boy are we tired. did you have a good weekend? do anything fun?!

the little things

i have been struggling the last week or so with how to write in words what i am going through. i really have no idea what to say. i've even deleted two or three posts because i felt they didnt really say what i wanted too.

so, im just going to say...lately i have been trying to focus on the little things that make me happy. i am trying to let things go. im trying to not worry if otheres will judge me for feeling the way i do. im trying to stay strong. i am trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel and im trying to be patient. it is so hard. i guess that just means i am human. right?

i like to write about my struggles on this little blog of mines so, i can look back at all the things i have gone through. i know someday i can look back at this and say "i made it. i got through that trial". i really do believe we go through trials to learn more about us and to grow as a person. at times it may not seem that way, but i know it to be true. 

i am grateful for my heavenly father who loves me through all my struggles. im grateful for my loving family and friends and of course im grateful for my amazing husband. he really is my rock. he knows how to how to put me at ease when i am having a rough time and really not seeing the big picture. i dont know how he does it. i am really am the luckiest girl.

our weekend.

this weekend was filled with laughter, family, sleeping in, snuggles, getting spiritually uplifted by listening and watching conference, a little rain and just enjoying a beautiful fall weekend. getting pumpkins tonight. yay for fall and halloween. what are you going to be for halloween?! do tell. the hubby is gonna be rod from hot rod and im gonna be densie from hot rod. awesome-sauce right?! 

um, they say on the news that thursday it's gonna be high of 60 and rainy. LOVEEE IT!

psssttt...i can now say my birthday is next month! woooo, so look for posts with this years burfday wish list this week, five favorite things, a funny story, tumblr love day and pinterest love day. exciting things this week here on the blog!
